While in the garage i found a selection of leds that were planned for a Mini .. and then we sold it, so i'm thinking of the C5 instead  Smiley

I know that some of you have already fitted leds or strobes ( KDD  Grin ) and just wondered, not being very teccy, are they easy to wire up, and what's the best way to wire them up ?

I've done Leds, strobes etc on Minis before, so can't imagine it being that difficult on a C5, just would hate to join it to the wrong wire and have the wrong kind of glow  Shocked Cheesy )

i dont know too much about it, but cant you just wire them in parallel to the existing lights so they would be controlled with the same switch?

Depends if the LED's have a series resistor inline with them, if they havent they will self destruct at a voltage, not much higher then 3.5v

oh yeah, forgot about that, but if they were designed for cars they should be meant to be plugged into 12v source

They are designed for 12v ( for cars etc ). Basically led at one end with
2 wires ( red & black ) coming off it.
Touch the red ( + ) to the + on the battery, black ( - ) to the - on the battery and you get a nice little purple glow  Grin

I'm guessing that it's just a case of attatching them to existing wiring ( maybe unused wires meant for indicators ? ), put a switch inline, and off you go, but best to be sure  Smiley

I did also find strobes, headlight flashers, amps, monitor and a whole selection of under car led strips, but i think that might be going a little bit too far  Cheesy Cheesy

I think by the time youve traced through existing wires, ie indicators etc, it would be simpler to run new wires, after all its only 2 and a switch, my suggestion would be to feed the LED's via a switch, from apoint AFTER the main light switch, that way the LED's cannot be turned on during the day with the main lights off!
