Hello, my name is Kaspar. I am a 39 year old nooby C5 owner from Holland. I just got my '85 C5 today!

It looks great but, ofcourse, has a dead battery so unfortunately I can't drive it straight away.

Can you guys please help me out? I am trying to figure out what to do with this battery. I heard you can still get the original Sinclair Oldham 12V 36Ah C5 batteries but they're really quite expensive and don't last that long.

What would be a good (or even better) alternative? Are there possibilities to buy C5 parts somewhere in The Netherlands perhaps or do I have to order all spares through the Internet?

Hope to hear from you guys (and girls?) soon.

Thanks!

Hi Kaspar,
I did reply to your email you sent direct, I think you will find the parts you need in the buying section Link. If you dont want to keep the original cover and switch, if you put them up for sale on ebay, i think you will find they will fetch enough to buy a new battery and connectors. Grin
